Desert Rain

In the desert, the first righteous rain of the summer monsoon season
 is cause for celebration.
All of nature rejoices..with thunder and lightning..the pungent smell of sage and the
the remembrance of moisture in the air, and on the skin.
No matter if plans for the evening involve Friday night Gallery openings,
so much the better an excuse to get wet.
With the rain comes permission to settle in and light the outdoor kiva.
Quiet, starring into the fire..the sweet smell of pinon heavy in the air.
